Have recently added a 6th kilt to the wardrobe. A Multicam from TDK. Impressive construction and security. Others include a Gridiron, Black Watch and St. Patrick's Day from Sportkilt, a khaki and black tartan from Utkilt, and a desert camo from Tactikilt.

What is your current favorite kilt?

For yard work and hiking it's primarily the digital camo from Tactikilt. For night time walking and Pittsburgh area sports bars it's the Gridiron (yellow and black) from Sportkilt. Otherwise, I guess it depends on where I'm going to.

Welcome from SW Pennsylvania and the great city of Pittsburgh. We have visited Utah on vacations. More than just canyons. Welcome!

    A Little Extra Warmth

Been looking for a good way to stay warmer as the temp moves closer to 32F / 0C and below range. I recently purchased a couple of 2XLT long sleeve T-shirts. Although a little loose as I'm just an XL, the length (the T on the end is for tall) is about mid thigh. Long enough for extra warmth, short enough not to be noticed.

Length And Height Of Your Kilt

Grew up in the '60s with shorts above the knee. Jogging shorts were always above the knee. After reading about chafing in back of the knee with kilts while hiking I ordered a 20" length. It is a little above the knee but with the prior shorts experience it feels fine. You need to find what length you're comfortable with. You're the one wearing them.

    hello from TN

Good morning from southwestern Pennsylvania and the great city of Pittsburgh! Visited TN several times, usually the Gatlinburg area but also the Nashville area. Lots to see and do there. Welcome to the group!

    hi from Quebec Canada

There's a saying "You only have one chance to make a good first impression". As much as I like kilts, and as much as in some areas of Canada kilts are more commonplace than anywhere in the U.S., I'd be more inclined to wear pants to an interview than a kilt. You should be able to wear them after that while working. You should see if they have any type of dress code or wear on casual Friday's first.
  8. Yesterday I was walking through the local Home Depot when a male voice called from behind " Did I miss a holiday?" As it was in the low 40's F here I had decided to wear my St. Patrick's Day pattern from Sportkilt. He, like many, only wears his a day or two a year. I assured him that I am usually kilted. Happy New Year folks!

    Things have to change

Hope you did well. As I get older I've found it takes longer to loose weight. I can gain with the best of them though. Lately I've been hitting the bike and rower. I figure I have months and it will probably take months. Diet wise vegetables like a spinach salad - large bowl, fruits and veggies throughout the day. Staying away from the bread whenever I can.
  11. Spent the summer and fall doing landscaping. Edging around trees and islands, tree cutting, adding about 3 ton of stones. Had some of the tree trunks cut into short pieces that I stained for use to step or put planters on. Most recently, last Tuesday maybe 40 degrees F minus the wind chill factor- still kilted, filling some cracks between the bricks in our driveway.

    KTKC shirt

I haven't been on this site for awhile. As I missed your target date, you may want to find a "Stand Up 2 Cancer" shirt for the future. Our local Pirates team has free T-shirt promotion each Friday night home game and one of that theme was featured during September.
  13. Welcome from western Pennsylvania and the great city of Pittsburgh! I have no known heritage of kilting and have been wearing them with increasing frequency for the past few years. It is rare in the States to see someone out and about in a kilt. Strange because they are very comfortable. I have also noticed that I get less tired when I wear a kilt.

    Kilts

Hello from western Pennsylvania and the great city of Pittsburgh! I have only been wearing kilts a couple of years. One gets a lot of use whenever I do yard work. Very comfortable and less tiring than p@nt$.
