CWK Gary

Our first vending event

Recommended Posts

Today there was a Scottish Heritage Festival held in Albany, Oregon.

This was the first event we have done as vendors.

I don't have any off the rack kilts made up, so took a bunch of my own kilts to set up for display.

Then we had a big board with a bunch of customer photo's.

Handed out a bunch of business cards and answered a lot of questions for people interested in the kilts I make.

Didn't get any actual orders at the event, but a lot of interest and at least a few solid ones that I am very sure I will be hearing from soon.

The event itself was pretty fun.

Some good entertainment too.

We got moved close to the stage which was really cool.

We also made sure the Brotherhood was represented.

We made CWK shirts to wear, so we hung a BOTK T-shirt at the booth and handed out a bunch of BOTK business cards.

I didn't get a real good picture of it, but in the first picture with Heather and I you will notice the white patch on my right arm.

That is a BOTK patch that I sewed onto my shirt.

I made my daughter a new mini kilt and then neglected to get any pictures of her wearing it.

DOH!

I also got a picture of Heather and I, but didn't get any of my wife and I.

DOH AGAIN!!

Here are some pictures.

Heather and I in front of the booth.

Heather and her son Lance. (Manly Skirt)

Lance doing a respectable Kilted Carver pose!

Here is a couple that I had to get a picture of in front of the booth.

They are the type that do their own thing, dress and look how they want and generally don't care what anyone else thinks.

In other words, my kinda people!

Loved the length of this guys Fu Manchu.

He also is a runner, marathon type.

Says he runs some events kilted.

Here is Heather trying to keep our booth from being pillaged.

And this is Troubadour in his Celtic Warrior Kilt.

Oh, my daughter bought herself a violin while we were there.

Here are a couple pictures of her playing it right after we got home.

She was already playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star for me.

Twas a great festival, I picked up a tartan scarf and pin, learned a little more about my heritage and met some knowledgeable folks.

Hey Gary, shouldn't you be listening to 'Mary had a little lamb' ?

Hey Gary, Are those Celtic Warrior T-Shirts I see?!? DUDE, I gotta get me one of dose!!!

Those are the first Celtic Warrior Kilts T-Shirts.

Heather came by Friday night with a bag of T-shirts and transfers that you print and iron on.

Since I still haven't got any made yet, this worked great for the event.

I have a guy here locally that will silk screen shirts for me.

I just need to get in touch with him when I have a little extra cash on hand.

When I do I will be sure to let you know.

You are on the list for one of the first printings brothah man.

They were fun to make but not anything that we would want to sell for sure...

Remember the thick plasticy transfers that make the shirt hot and thick... yeah but they worked great for what we were doing . I hope we can get the other ones soon!!!

Cool pictures!

How long did it take that guy to grow that Fu Manchu? It would take me a long time to grow that much. If I started in my teens......????
