First Tweed Kilt

Recommended Posts

I bought this tweed about 6 months ago.

I was planning on making me a kilt out of it and thought I had enough to make one for the wife too.

Well, I decided to do hers first.

I was going to box pleat it.

She had gone to the Scottish Heritage Festival last month with me and decided she liked the looks of the small pleats (Traditional type kilts) better.

So, now she has a gorgeous new tweed kilt, and I have to order more material.

Absolutely worth it though.

It turned out beautifully, and I am now going to order enough to do one for me exactly the same.

Also, were is the Kilted Carver pose?

Kilt looks great and you have a pretty women there.

So is it a hairy tweed or a smooth tweed? We need details. It is visually pleasing.

It is pretty much smooth.

Feels very nice and was pretty easy to work with.

Pretty anxious to make myself one now....
