Completed this yesterday.

Rowan wood handle collected in the Scottish Highlands. Non-lead pewter bolster & pommel. Stainless-steel blade, reasonably sharp.

The pommel's end has an imbedded red granite pebble collected along the seashore in the western Highlands. It has been machined & polished flush with the pommel's flat end.

This is for sale. A leather sheath is included, though not shown here.

Very good looking sgian - excellent work on the stone and pommel. Traditionally, highlanders would carry a small piece of Rowan to ward off witches.

I knew that iron was carried to ward off faeries, but didn't know that tidbit regarding rowan wood. I'll use it as a selling point.

NB: Faeries of Highland lore weren't 'Tinkerbells'. Usually they were malignant little bastards bent on being unpleasant to humans.

All I see are the words "Posted Image", sounds as if it is pretty wicked though.
