Hey if any of you are in Texas (DFW more specifically) and are interested in putting together a Highland Regiment / Honor Guard please let me know. My goal here is to initially put a unit together which at first would serve for funeral services and patriotic / Scottish events as a member of an Honor Guard with American military influences. If anyone is interested please let me know. I have a particular idea in mind on how I want to handle this thing however, I need input.
As far as providing services, the first rule of course is that BOTK members would be served in death for free.
Thank you,
Captain Donald R. Bates

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I love the idea. I am closer to Houston than DFW but if this takes off maybe local branches might get startes. Have you had any more interest.I am fairly new to the BOTK but I like the idea.

I agree that this would be a great undertaking. I also live closer to the Houston area and would like to see something like this take root, especially with organizations such as Heather and Thistle disbanding we need an organization like this one.

I live in the area.
There is an Scottish-American Military Society group in this area if you want to see if they want help.
I want to get through my reserve time before joining any other group as my wife has made it clear that I had better make time for her.
