Ok, I have been having a problem with summer time concealed carry anyway, and here we go again. How do those of you that carry do so? I can't stand IWB. Do you always wear a vest or waistcoat? Do you carry in your sporran? Where?

When I did carry I prefered a shoulder holster with a vest which I still do on occasion with either my .380 or my .45 or ankle holster with a .380 or a .32 when I wore p@nt$. I recently made a modified sporran for a friend of mine with an extra compartment with an elastic band that fit his .380 and an velcroed opening on the right side. I also remember seeing a post here on a modified ladies thigh rig. If memory serves I believe Puffer and Riverkilt tested it out.

Your Welcome, I don't know how I missed your response Donnie, I kind of figured you were a member after I saw the clan tartan on your site.

Most of the time I will carry my Beretta Jet-Fire in my sporran if it is warm out. I also have a paddle holster that does the trick on some of my kilts, but I have to wear something over that if I want to conceal it.

This is a matter of preference, of course, but I'm curious: Which IWB holster have you used? I've got a CrossBreed Supertuck, and like most people I know who have them, after you wear it enough to conform to your body, it might as well not be there anymore. It is rather like a good belt in that regard. Mine is leather, and I've had no problems wearing it against uncovered skin.

The only IWB's I have worn, I have made myself! Maybe that is the problem? :watch5:

+1 for the Crossbreed. Simply the most comfortable holster I have ever worn.
As a dreamer of dreams and a travelin' man,
I have chalked up many a mile.
Read dozens of books about heroes and crooks,
And I've learned much from both of their styles.

I have not kilted and carried at the same time. However, I have heard great reviews about this company. I have been thinking about getting one myself. They might change out the J-hook to allow for a larger belt.
