CAS Hanwei make quite a good museum reproduction of a backsword, the Paul Chen SH2002

Cold Steel also make a basket hilt & their stuff is always very usable.

Armour Class= top semi-custom (IMHO) - http://www.armourclass.co.uk/ (a wee bit $ but worth it )

CAS Hanwei make good museum reproductions (mid $ )

Cold Steel very durable but generic. (mid $ )

BTW I own from the above makerd

Museum Replicas Limited be good

Check out www.myarmoury.com/ for more info.

NOTE - once you find a weapon- check who sells -- Can save $$$$.

I am not sure if you purchased your blade yet, but I have the Cromwell Basket Hilt Mortuary sword by CAS Hanwei. All the reviews out there says it is a great cutter, where the Cold Steel broadsword is not doing well. I like the CAS Hanwei Back Sword also. Both of these are single edge and because I am into Iaido, I can apply some of my Japanese sword tactics like placing the left hand on the spine of the sword to give leverage, slide, push.

I was once asked if I was Scottish by a woman in a cafe. When I replied no, she asked why was I wearing a kilt then? As she was wearing troo$er$, I suppose I could have asked if she was a man. and if not why was she wearing troo$er$?
