Quick And Easy Kilt Pin

Recommended Posts

So, since I make a sporran a couple weeks ago, I had some leather left over and decided I could make a nice kilt pin out of it.

I used acrylic paint to paint on a fleur-de-lis design I found online, molded the leather into a dome shape and added the ring and wood back. I think it turned out quite nicely, considering it was made from recycled scraps, and hence did not cost a penny!

back of pin. The green stuff is a wax mark which I used to put my first initial on the back - a primitive makers stamp so to say :)

Wearing the pin on my black watch kilt.

Let me know what you think!!

Pretty cool. Always nice to wear something you made.

Not much as satisfying as wearing something you made yourself. Well done!
