Belt Pouches

Recommended Posts

i am thinking of making me some camoflauge belt pouches for my kilt belt to hold me over until i can offord the leather and supplies to make nice ones. what do you all think?

i dont have a sporran yet, but i have LOTS of material here to make pouches of sorts, and a sewing machine. so good idea, bad idea, pouches look goofy?

I'd say do it.

You learn something and have what could be a pleasant experience.

What have you got to lose? What is the worst that could happen?

ah true. all there is to lose is some old camo material. i do need something to stash my wallet in.

tom invited me to SCA fighter practice this weekend, so i WILL kilt up for that, and display the new pouches im going to make. and take pics to boot!.

this is exactly what i need to cheer me up after today.

Pics, pix, pics!

ive got the 2 made for fighter practice this sunday, just to get me by until i buy a sporran and either a leather pouch, or the stuff to make one.

i was planning on taking pictures when i have them on my belt while kilted up for practice this sunday.

so they are made, both slightly diff in size and look. the first one is kinda uneven on the inside, but itl do its duty, the second is abit more ornate. i think they will hold fine this sunday.

haha it matches the aged pyramid spikes i put downt he apron. i had to spice up the SWK. its a concert kilt. my only kilt till my Alpha-Kilt comes in, then from there ill buy some tartan kilts.

BTW the belt buckle IS REAL WOOD, red oak with a white birch maltese cross insert. it has a cast back. but the buckle is real wood on the face.
