  1. North of Hadrian’s Kilts and Celtic clothing is the creation of Jackson Wagner and Justin Guthrie two men who, while coming from very different backgrounds share a vision of a business that will promote the Highland wear lifestyle for years to come. In 2010 Jackson retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and along with his family moved to Vancouver Island. Kilt wearing had long been a part of Jackson’s lifestyle and he had even remarked to his tank crew ( while in Afghanistan ) that when he returned to civilian life he was going to become a kilt-maker. Through a few strange turns Jackson found himself doing just that. He had been hired on in a local shop making kilts and quickly realised that this was going to become a lifelong passion. The business end of the kilt-making industry came as second nature and Jackson soon found himself not only as manager of the shop, but also as business partner to the owner. Justin began his career in academia, studying biology and environment science at various Canadian universities, while working in retail shops selling and tailoring suits and other high quality men’s clothing. In late 2012 he discovered an opportunity to combine his retail experience and manufacturing skills by making kilts with a small Victoria kilt company. In 2014 Justin and Jackson realised that they had a different view for the future of the kilt industry in Victoria, which luckily coincided with news from the current shop owner that his retirement and the shop’s closing were looming ahead. With this information in hand Justin and Jackson formed North of Hadrian’s Kilts and Celtic clothing and set out to redefine the Highland wear experience for shoppers not only locally, but globally since the wonders of the internet age allow anyone, anywhere to order from North of Hadrian’s. North of Hadrian’s fosters a Victoria-centric approach in that, as much as possible, retail items we sell would be purchased first from artisans in Victoria, then from the Island, then British Columbia, then Canada, then the USA and finally from the UK. The only acception to this concept are those items that are only available from the UK, and all Tartan fabric as we feel it is essential to import and use nothing but the finest tartan fabrics we can source. Solid colour fabrics are purchased either from the UK or the USA. By employing local craft artisans as suppliers North of Hadrian’s ensures that it is doing its best to contribute to the growth of local economies, and most importantly showcasing some of the great artistic talent available close to home. North of Hadrian’s Kilts and Celtic clothing believe in providing not only the best value it can, but the highest quality work possible, and we are committed to continual improvement through client feedback and product innovation. Simply put, we’re not happy until you are happy!

  5. There is a new feature added with the latest software update. For those techies and social networking gurus, you have most likely already noticed the "topic tags" box under the "Topic Title" box when you are creating a new post. you can help people and search engines better classify what you are talking about by adding a couple tags, each with a comma after to keep them separate. This post has "forum" "support" and "tags" and it's tags. you will also see a list on the right of the top tags used. If you want to use this, awesome. If not, still awesome. It means your post is so awesome that common words cannot properly convey the meaning.
