The post count is low b/c they are busy making us stuff! Honorary Degrees can be conferred to those who have proven to have contributed greatly to the kilted community as a whole. These will be decided upon by the "staff" of the College once we get it going properly. Anyone with a Masters or Ph.D in Kiltology has the option to open their own regional campus of the College of Kiltology. They will then become a "Dean of the College of Kiltology" and can recruit students and staff members. All staffers must have at least a bachelor's in kiltology, and will get their own "Professor of Kiltology" award. I am working on real certificates for this and will post as soon as I get them done. enjoy!
Now that the College of Kilotlogy is open I think simple post count is not enough to earn a Ph.D. To this end, a Ph.D. also requires a contribution to the soon-to-be-formed College of Kiltology Library. This will be a collection or original articles written BY kilties FOR kilties, on all range of subjects. Previously written works will be accepted. The goal is to create a central knowledge repository for all kilties. The length of the article is dictated by the topic discussed, and the writing abilities of the author. This is open to ALL student with a masters in Kiltology, and I am working on something you can actually wear to indicate your accomplishments! how do you submit your article? all members of the brotherhood now have an option at the bottom of your forum post that says "promote to article". click that and follow the instructions. It will then be sent to me for approval. If it is worthy of being added to the Library of Kiltology, I will do so!
