Sporran Wallet

Recommended Posts

I have mentioned on other threads being unhappy with wallet options for wearing a sporran. Steve (Cavscout) of Oconee Leather Works pm'ed me suggesting he would be will to try to come up with something to meet my needs. What I wanted was something that would:

Hold basically all my stuff

Transfer easily from one sporran to another

Be easy to pull out to get at credit cards, cash etc.

If possible, would just go from sporran to p%nts pocket when I have to wear suits for work.

Steve has come up with a great sporran wallet that meets all my needs and looks great as well. This weekend, I used it in all three of my sporrans (SWK nylon cargo, soft Rob Roy, and a stiff leather tradition casual. Worked in all three and in the front pocket of my suit trou. How's it look? See for yourself.

Here are the photos:

Glad you are liking it Geoff! That was a fun project :beerchug:

A few more details: every seam hand sewn, every rivet and snap hand set. Made from tough, grained pig skin, 4 huge pockets, 6 card slots, key ring holder, pen holder. If you look closely on the inside photo you can see my mp3 player and headphones sticking out :) Includes a small trigger snap to put on your key ring if needed to attach keys to D-Ring. Also available in Brown with brass hardware.

I'll repost the pics that are not working correctly above...

I'm asking $55 for these. I hope to have it listed on the web site soon but need to finalize a few details.

Currently these are having to be worked into my standard back log. I hope to get a few of these made and keep a few on hand for faster delivery but being a "one man show", ya know how that can be.

Let me know if there are any other questions or design wants. Another possible option that can be worked in is a plastic insert to carry even more cards and photos. That's the nice thing about being a custom manufacturer, just about anything is possible to get you what you want.

I really like that. How well does it work when you have to wear p@nt$ Geoff? You said that you carry it in your front pocket so it looks like a pretty good design. Just added it to my "Get stuff" list.

It works fine in bifurcated garments. I don'ty put a wallet in my hip pocket, because I hate to sit on a bulge, but in the front pocket it works well. The pen has to come out, but that's so the pen won't break when I bend to sit down and it doesn't bend, not really the wallet's problem. I'm thinking about getting a short pen, about the length of the wallet to fix that. One of the things I was hoping to do was have something convinient for switching back and forth between p@nts and kilts, since my work requires the bifurcated garment.
