Tour de Chocolate

Recommended Posts

The Chocolate Box is a stop on two of Savor Seattle's tour. They sell wonderful local made chocolate goodies! Who knew that Seattle was a hot bed for great chocolate. (I did)

Well, they run their own tour, called the Tour de Chocolate. I got to take the tour today, part training for me. To know their tour. It was fun. I ate way to much great chocolate, and even got to play in it!

Here are the pics!

Outside the Theo Chocolate company. The only Fair Trade & Organic chocolate company in Washington and of a small hand full in the US.

Yes I am a dork. We toured the factory floor at Theo, hairnets a must!

This is the bean roaster. Theo buys the beans and then makes the chocolate from them, where as the majority of companies buy already made chocolate to make their goodies. Theo is a chocolate Maker (bean to bar) while most are melters.

Yes I am a dork. But I am standing in front of about 300 pounds of cocao beans. booya.

I saw this sign, behind a glass door. Could not resist

And damnit, we need to have a facial hair of the Brotherhood contest. For people with awesome mustaches and beards.

That looks like a cool tour.

And dork or not, looks like you had a good time.

Jim, let me know when you and Keith get here for the tour.

That is only about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour ride for me.

I will fire up the Wing and head that way!!

And then a step to the right.

You know, we could be dangerous if we got together some time. If I would have seen the sign in person I'd probably have broken out in song on the spot.

I could only hope that others would join in.
