Isle Of Skye Tartan

Recommended Posts

We were pondering on what would be nice for a lady to wear, using tartan.

Many ladies do not like tartan skirts for different reasons. Sashes are... well are just sashes...

A nice little ladies tartan waistcoat ? Yes, sure !

Obviously, it seems that men are always the great winners when it comes to tartan.

Chrystel isn't very tall, nor slim; she went through a few pregnancies and is over forty.

Yet she wanted to look great in tartan. This is what she came up with:

The tartan is Isle of Sky; the tweed is a gorgeous Cheviot Pheasant Tweed from Marton Mills.

Just imagine this jacket with YOUR tartan...

The collar is inspired from what Tim Burton's Alice is wearing at the end of the film.

...a few more photos of the actual making:

WOW ! Thank you ! I know someone that is going to go wild when she gets back from her errands. !

You were also talking about getting it on the website; if that is different from the Forum, could you please give us a hand with that ?

Ha ha yes , of course ! It shall be done !

But orders can be placed NOW !

As I have expected, Chrystel went nuts ! She thanks you ! and says she would need 1,50 metres of tartan double width.

When a Tartan Day Plaid is added to the jacket, the back gets even more interesting ...
