So... Where Did Everyone Go?

Recommended Posts

Just curious where everyone is hiding? It has been pretty dead around here lately!

I notice KT hasn't even logged on in the last 2 months (if his profile is accurate).

Anyone else still alive out there?

Change is coming, soon. I have been in contact with him on Facebook. He is a busy man.

Still around but working a lot of 12 hour shifts 6 day weeks and now I have a Border Collie pup to deal with High Energy to say the least.

Here is my progress report:

1. Kiltology V2 final edits are half done. I expect to have the book to press next week

2. This site will be getting the facelift I promised when the book is done. I plan to start next weekend.

3. I have a vendor or two who are looking to join us. I will be posting more about that when I get home from work today.

4. BotK tartan has been sent to one of our merchants. I am awaiting their response on feasability and availability.

otherwise, work, kids, home, life in general is still ticking along.

...more to come...

I'm here. Try to make a post when I think of something and I try to get in on conversation to keep the pot stirring.

Anyone know what the tartan looks like? Hope it's available form some of the affordable vendors.

Been a busy summer for me...
...kinda lost a year, so trying to catch up with projects around here.

So far, I've not been entirely successful

I'm like herpes, you never really get rid of me!!

I'm honing (ahem) my knife crafting skills as best as I can, I kicked the brewing into high gear dialing in recipes in prep for the brewpub in the works. I'm also puttering with my walking sticks as they are dry and ready for crafting..

Good to know, I'm champing at the bit to be an official merchant on here, I think you guys would like our kilts, I know some of you have them already.

Waiting for the go ahead, in the meantime loving the forum!

Sorry I'm slow to respond but this is the first time I've tried that the screen didn't go blank and lock up the computer.

I'm here and still lurking. This is probably my second post. I still don't even own a kilt because I'm still researching my family tree and the best tartan choices. I like the U.S. Army tartan but it's still not officially endorsed.

I ordered and received two signed copies of the Kiltology book. One went to my father for his birthday. Good stuff.

I just don't have anything to say because I'd rather make sure the tartan is the right choice for me because I look at it like a flag. I don't just hoist any old flag. It has to be mine and have meaning to me.

Meanwhile my wife just wants me to buy some; She's particularly enamored with the idea of me wearing a great kilt.

We've been looking at options for shawls and sashes for my wife as well. We found a few that suit her, including the German American, DAR, and the Oregon State tartans.

Courtland
Have you considered a universal tartan like the Scottish Wildcat Tartan?
